Chris and Kenneth Braxton, fraternal twins, have grown together through shared experience and individual pursuit, each carving his own path while pushing the other forward. Today, we are proud to recognize them for their outstanding performances at the State Wrestling Championships.
Chris made history as the first student from New Hanover High School to place at the state level in over 30 years, earning an impressive third place finish in his weight class. Kenneth delivered a remarkable performance of his own, battling his way to the blood rounds and ultimately placing fifth in the state. Together, their achievements reflect not only athletic excellence, but years of discipline, resilience, and quiet commitment to
growth.
But their story extends far beyond the mat.

Since entering as seventh graders from Williston Middle School, Chris and Kenneth have been part of the Schreiber Foundation community, growing not only as students and athletes, but as young men. Like many twins, they share a bond that is unspoken yet deeply felt. At the same time, each has developed his own voice, his own leadership style, and his own way of showing up for others.
We have seen that leadership take shape in quiet moments and in visible ones. At tutoring, at camp, and in competition, they lead with authenticity, consistency, and care. They lift others as they climb, grounded in a sense of responsibility to something larger than themselves.

Their journey has been guided by the steady and unwavering support of their parents, Carlos and Sharon, whose presence has been felt in every step along the way.
As they prepare to take their next steps at East Carolina University this spring, we are reminded that success is rarely a single moment. It is built over time, in shared effort, in challenge, and in belief.
Chris and Kenneth embody what we strive for at Schreiber. Growth with purpose. Leadership with humility. Brotherhood in its truest form. It has been an honor to walk alongside them, and we look forward to all that lies ahead.
