Over the past twelve years, our
mission has grown along with our
campers. One week with our
campers inspired us to do more to
ensure they had access to realize
their full potential. We built the 51
Weeks program to provide holistic
support all 365 days of the year.
Our numbers are small, allowing
our impact to be deep and
life-changing. We do whatever it
takes, to support each of our boys
to and through college. In May
2019, Dantae Moore became our
first student to graduate from
college.
Armed with his degree from UNCW,
Dantae is now pursuing his own
version of the American Dream.
Since then, we have had several
esteemed graduates. Our senior
campers have become role models
to our youngest boys. In the
coming years, more and more
Schreiber scholars will earn their
degrees, becoming professionals
and leaders in their communities.
Schreiber is a 52-week program that builds resiliency, cultivates brotherhood, supports academic excellence and provides wraparound support to Schreiber kids and families.
Camp Schreiber is a non-profit
organization that believes in a world
where if you work hard, you will go
far. We work to remove the financial,
social, and practical barriers standing
between young men and college
graduation.
Our numbers are small, allowing our
impact to be deep and life-changing.
We do whatever it takes to support
each of our boys to and through
college. We graduate game changers
to become mentors, role models,
professionals and leaders in their
communities- in Wilmington, NC and
beyond.
The Schreiber Foundation is a 501(c)3
non-profit organization committed to
positively impacting our community.
We provide educational services and
out-of-classroom experiences to
deserving young men in Wilmington,
North Carolina.
We have a depth of commitment to
the young men selected to
participate and we invest in our
students, their families, and their
education.
Supporting students from middle
school through college, The
Schreiber Foundation aims to
remove obstacles for the young
men it serves. We want the
participants in our program to know
that if they work hard, they can go
far. There are still many structural
and social barriers to educational
equality and the Schreiber
Foundation is working to equip our
students for life after high school
and college.
We recruit middle school boys who demonstrate superior need, ambition, ability, and character. We make a ten year promise to support them from middle school through college graduation. We do whatever it takes to replace barriers with opportunity.
recruit
We provide six hours of individualized, small group tutoring each week. Our team of tutors help students with their coursework and provide enrichment activities above and beyond the classroom including SAT/ACT preparation and personalized college planning.
learn
We facilitate summer year-round enrichment opportunities that include: swim lessons, guided seminars with guest speakers, team building exercises, expeditionary learning, college visits, internships, engaging in community volunteering along with financial literacy and money management workshops.
experience
Through education, experience, and exposure, we support our students to achieve in middle and high school, while preparing them for the financial, social, and academic challenges of college and beyond.
