We recruit middle school boys who demonstrate superior need, ambition, ability, and character. We make a ten year promise to support them from middle school through college graduation. We do whatever it takes to replace barriers with opportunity.
recruit
We provide six hours of individualized, small group tutoring each week. Our team of tutors help students with their coursework and provide enrichment activities above and beyond the classroom including SAT/ACT preparation and personalized college planning.
learn
We facilitate summer year-round enrichment opportunities that include: swim lessons, guided seminars with guest speakers, team building exercises, expeditionary learning, college visits, internships, engaging in community volunteering along with financial literacy and money management workshops.
experience
Through education, experience, and exposure, we support our students to achieve in middle and high school, while preparing them for the financial, social, and academic challenges of college and beyond.

1,142 MILES. Our journey to Schreiber starts hours before the sun at Wilmington International Airport. Parents give their last hugs and we're off. It will be a long day. We'll connect to reach our final destination in Toronto. Then it's six hours on the road towards Little Current, ON. It doesn't hit you until you load your bag onto the boat. The boat engine turns over and you know it's close. You're almost back to Schreiber. The goosebumps come and that feeling you only ever get on the island returns. It's Schreiber time.
Every year at camp feels like the best one yet. It's amazing to watch each individual camper grow and change over the course of their week on the island. The impact of those seven days endures far beyond their short time on Schreiber Island. There are many firsts: swimming in Lake Huron, canoeing, fishing, riding on a boat, archery, and overnight camping. In-between, there are moments for quiet reflection, morning journalling on the platform overlooking the lake, or watching the sunset on the rocks with your mentor. So much of camp is about doing the things you think you can't, and the transformative confidence that comes with making it all the way to the top of Dead Lake on the hike, standing in front of the hearth to deliver your Ted Talk, or finally getting up on the paddle board. Whatever it is, and whenever it happens, there's always a moment on Schreiber Island that changes you forever.
